 The Jawaharlal Nehru University is a small and relatively young university. Founded in 1966, it is considered the best university in India today. It is research-oriented and specializes in postgraduate education (master’s and doctoral programs). Its excellent faculty to student ratio of 1:10 guarantees close collaboration between students and professors. The university buildings are located on a spacious, green, and secure campus in the south of Delhi. The partnership with Konstanz focuses on Postcolonial Studies and involves the entire university – primarily the School of Language, Literature and Cultural Studies, the School of Social Sciences, as well as the School of International Studies and the School of Visual Arts.
