Join the talk titled “The University of Cuenca and its links to the community/La Universidad de Cuenca y sus vinculos con la comunidadˮ by our esteemed guest Dr. María Augusta Hermida Palacios, rector of the University of Cuenca, in which she will present the University of Cuenca and its work and explain how it has evolved into an essential pillar in the deve- lopment of the region. The talk will be followed by an interview with the speaker. Both the presentation and the discussion will be in English.
Afterward, we will be joined by sociologist Dr. María Falconí Abad for the presentation “El feminismo decolonial latinoamericano y del buen vivirˮ (Latin American decolonial feminism and Buen Vivir), which will introduce us to Latin American feminist perspec- tives. This talk will be held in Spanish, and German presentation slides and translations will be available.
