Web documentary on the University of Konstanz

On the occasion of the University of Konstanz’s 50th anniversary, the cooperation project “Web documentary on the 50th anniversary of the University of Konstanz” was published by the media studies working group led by Professor Beate Ochsner and the Human-Computer Interaction working group headed by Professor Harald Reiterer.

Web documentaries are a new online format which combines interactive elements with videos, texts, pictures and sounds. The anniversary web documentary was designed by students. The working group media studies is responsible for the content, the communication design group of the Hochschule Konstanz University of Applied Sciences (HTWG) for the design and the working group Human-Computer Interaction for the technical programming aspects.

Of the university’s many facets, the documentary foregrounds those that are characteristic of the university as a living space. The short presentations are on topics such as the cafeteria, the bistro “Arche”, the basements, the botanical gardens, the university's unique art and design elements, events and student activities such as the vegetable garden, the campus festival and beer garden and much more! You can watch our web documentary individually or choose between different tours in combination with “Ein Tag an der Uni” (spend on day at the university).

You are cordially invited to take a closer look at our university, to explore areas that have never been looked at this way before or to return to your old haunts.

We look forward to seeing you!
